EtchingsAfter many hours of making needle point size dots onto the surface of a sheet of copper... i sink the plate into acid that eats my drawing into its surface.
I print each image by hand... smearing color into the engraving... polishing the surface... and then rolling the plate thru this wonderful 280 year old press, under a piece of dampened paper, in a wonderful old workshop in Vienna, Austria. The process of Etching goes as far back as the Renaissance... Leonardo da Vinci, and later Rembrandt, are among some of the most famous of etchers. Each print an original... each step of the way... by hand... Each print is handsigned and numbered within a limited edition.
